Jason Robart

Jason is Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts' Chief Strategy Officer as well as the President and CEO of Zaffre Investments. As the company's CSO, Jason assumes responsibility for the development of near- and long-term strategic plans with an eye towards sustaining BCBSMA's market leadership and competitive advantage. He oversees the company's business plan and capital allocation as well as an internal consulting function which works with senior leaders to implement new processes, improve operational performance, integrate new technologies and manage large-scale project implementations. Additionally, he leads the newly launched innovation capability and also plays a key leadership role in further developing and promoting BCBSMA's consumer engagement strategy and championing the consumer experience throughout all levels of the organization.

Zaffre is the company's investment arm and is committed to adding value through investments in new products, services, and technology, to improve the way healthcare is delivered and received. To date, BCBSMA and Zaffre have made investments in a wide range of companies, including urgent care centers, a claims processing platform, a number of health IT start ups and several consumer-focused organizations. Previously Jason served as Blue Cross' Senior Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness and Chief Human Resources Officer.

Jason was formerly an executive vice president for Health Dialog, an international health care analytics company where he worked with many of the largest Blues Plans in the country. He has extensive leadership experience in change management and the creation of high-performing organizations, including seven years as a principal at Mercer Human Resource Consulting; three years as a vice president at Imagitas, a targeted marketing firm; and six years as vice president and president at Ceridian Performance Partners, a national firm specializing in organizational effectiveness, work/life balance, diversity and workplace flexibility.

Jason holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Middlebury College. He is president of the Board of Trustees of the Nashoba Brooks School in Concord, MA; serves on the board of directors of the Northeast Human Resource Association; and on a variety of committees for other nonprofit organizations.
